It's simple. Every time a customer uses their Barclaycard in your store or any other participating retailer, they get a percentage of the purchase price recorded to their Barclaycard Freedom Reward Account as Reward Money.

They may redeem their Reward Money on their next purchase at a selected participating retailer on small items or save it up to put towards something larger.

Either way, as a business customer of Barclaycard, you will be ideally placed to benefit.

And you won't need any new equipment for customers to earn or redeem their Reward Money in your store.

Just your current chip and PIN terminal.

There are plenty of ways for new Barclaycard Freedom customers to find you.

You can simply display the Barclaycard Freedom point of sale materials in your store and you will be automatically included in our Barclaycard Freedom online retailer directory so that customers can search for you using the rather handy search facility on the customer website.

That's all there is to it. Barclaycard Freedom is rewards made simple.

At the heart of Barclaycard Freedom is the Reward Money pot.

And like everything else in the programme, it's really simple.

When a customer makes a purchase with you using their Barclaycard, you contribute a percentage, and this contribution goes into the Reward Money pot.

Then, when a customer uses their Barclaycard, up to 4% is taken from the Reward Money pot and given directly to the customers as Reward Money, which they can use whenever they like at selected participating retailers.

Every customer earns a percentage when they make a purchase with you.

But, from time to time, we will run special promotions designed to deliver even more value to your customers.

During these initiatives, customers could earn as much as 4% in Reward Money with no additional contribution needed from you.

These initiatives will include Double Rewards weekends at key shopping periods throughout the year, when all customers can earn double Reward Money every time they use their Barclaycard at participating Barclaycard Freedom retailers.

But throughout all these special promotions, your contribution stays exactly the same.

Barclaycard may also from time to time run targeted offers to customers to give them even more value but your contribution will not change. It's great deals like these that will keep enthusiasm at a maximum - helping your customers get more value out of Barclaycard Freedom and see more value in shopping with you.

Welcome to Barclaycard Freedom - the effortless way to reward your customers.

There are three main ways your customers can use Barclaycard Freedom in their transactions.

With every eligible purchase on their Barclaycard they earn Reward Money, but they can also choose to redeem their Reward Money, either in full or in part.

Your customer selects their purchase, and chooses to pay with their Barclaycard.

The purchase amount and your customer's Reward Money balance are displayed on the screen.

They can then select whether they would like to redeem their Reward Money to pay for the purchase.

If your customer doesn't want to redeem any Reward Money on their purchase, they just select 'Clear'.

Your customer will then be asked to enter their PIN, in the usual way.

Once the purchase is completed, your customer's receipt will show the amount of Reward Money earned on this transaction, and their new Reward Money balance.

It really is that easy.

Now, let's see how a customer can redeem their Reward Money to pay for their purchase in full.

If your customers want to redeem Reward Money on their purchase, they simply select 'Enter' to redeem.

They are then prompted to enter the amount of Reward Money they would like to redeem.

Your customers can even redeem Reward Money to pay for their entire purchase.

If a customer enters in more Reward Money than they have in their Barclaycard Freedom Reward Account, they will be notified on the next screen.

However, if they have sufficient funds in their Barclaycard Freedom Reward Account, the transaction progresses as normal.

Because they have chosen to pay for their entire purchase with Reward Money, the screen will then display a £0 balance.

For protection, customers will still be required to enter their PIN.

Once the purchase is completed, your customer's receipt will show the amount of Reward Money redeemed on this transaction, and their new Reward Money balance.

Because the customer has used Reward Money for their purchase - you don't need to make any contribution or pay the Merchant Service Charge.

It really is that easy.

Finally let's see how a customer can redeem their Reward Money to pay for just part of their purchase.

If your customer would like to redeem Reward Money on their purchase, they simply select 'Enter' to redeem.

Customers are then prompted to enter the amount of Reward Money they would like to redeem.

If your customer wants, they can choose to contribute only some Reward Money to this purchase.

They simply enter the amount they wish to contribute and select 'Enter'.

The remaining balance the customer needs to pay is then displayed.

This will be the total purchase price minus the amount of Reward Money contributed.

To confirm the payment, the customer is required to enter their PIN.

Once the purchase is completed, your customer's receipt will show the amount of Reward Money redeemed and earned on this transaction, as well as their new Reward Money balance.

In this scenario, the customer will have earned Reward Money on the £20.00

Because the customer has used Reward Money to contribute to their purchase, you only have to make the nominated contribution and pay your Merchant Service Charge on the £20.00
