Overview

Much more than just a gift card

For a simple way to promote your business and strengthen your brand image, prepaid gift cards are ideal. Improved cash flow, greater loyalty from customers and reduced risk of fraud compared to paper vouchers, are just some of the other benefits.

Besides increasing your customer base when recipients visit to redeem their cards, you can be confident that as long as your gift card is in their wallet, your customer plans to return. In addition to being used for presents for loved ones, our prepaid cards are ideal as:

  • Refund and credit notes, keeping money in your business
  • A budgeting aid for customers on a tight budget who are saving up for special occasions, such as Christmas
  • Prizes in competitions, draws and other promotional campaigns
  • Loyalty cards to reward frequent or high value purchases
  • Part payment of products.

Greater flexibility to meet your individual needs

  • Change the design of prepaid cards to fit in with your business branding.
  • Pre-set denominations or let customers choose the credit they'd like to add.

Upfront payment for improved cash flow

Since you receive payment upfront every time a customer takes out a gift card, you're able to improve cash flow while earning interest on unused balances.

Easy to monitor for greater control

Keeping track of how prepaid cards are used is simple with online access to detailed Management Information (MI) reports. Even businesses with more than one branch can see exactly how each is performing, and view every customer's gift card balance.

Our MI reports make it easier to analyse customer spending patterns, forecast and plan your business strategy.

A better choice than paper vouchers

Unlike paper vouchers which can be easily forged, prepaid cards hold very little value before being credited. Since any remaining credit stays on the card, they can be used repeatedly so your customer keeps thinking about your brand long after they first signed up.

Customers will also appreciate the flexibility that comes with being able to buy gift cards with cash, credit and debit cards.

How they work

A step-by-step guide to offering prepaid gift cards

Integrating prepaid cards into your PDQ terminal is quick and seamless:

  1. No additional technology is needed to get your business ready. You simply get in touch and we'll discuss the process with you, letting you know if any costs are involved.
  2. When you've applied, our simple user guide explains exactly how gift cards work.
  3. We also supply a range of display materials to help your business promote prepaid cards to your customers.
  4. Once you're ready to offer them to customers, there's a small charge to pay for each card.
  5. Then every time one is used, you're charged a transaction fee.

Even if you're using another electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) system, you can contact us and we'll advise you how to integrate and start benefiting from prepaid cards.
