You're all set up to use your new MasterCard

We know you’re busy, so we’ve made sure your new card comes ready to use. There’s no activation needed, no new PIN to memorise or different credit limits to work with – just use it as soon as it arrives. We’ve also kept your payment dates, fees, statement dates and any Direct Debits you pay to us the same as before. (Please note – your bank account will show a different reference number for your Direct Debits).

Your old Visa card will stop working very soon, so please take a few moments to read the information below so you’re fully up to speed.

Before your new card arrives

• Keep using your Visa card until your new MasterCard arrives in the post
• You'll need to let any additional cardholders know they’ll be getting a new card. It’ll be delivered to the address we hold for them. If you need to check we’ve got the right details, please contact us

When your card arrives

• You can use your MasterCard straight away with your existing PIN. It'll come with important information, so please read it carefully as it'll include details of how to safely dispose of your Visa card
• If you've saved your Visa card number with your usual suppliers or online retailers to speed up frequent purchases, you'll need to let them know your new card number, expiry date and the last three digits on the signature strip on the back of your card
• When making online purchases you might be asked to enter a password for MasterCard SecureCode. To keep things simple, we’ve made it the same as your Verified by Visa password. You may be asked to set up a new one – it will only take you a few seconds
• Don’t forget – your old Visa card will stop working soon, so start using your new MasterCard as soon as it arrives
