Balance Transfer Terms and Conditions

Remember that balance transfers are subject to status.

The maximum amount that can be transferred is 90% of your credit limit, subject to available credit, or £5,000.

If you'd like to transfer a larger balance or want to ensure you still have funds for your purchases, then simply call 0870 154 0130*.

We reserve the right to refuse a balance transfer or to limit the amount that can be transferred, in any case the minimum is £100 for existing customers and £250 for new customers. The maximum amount you can transfer is £5,000, subject to the available credit limit on your account. Should we honour amounts in excess of your balance transfer limit they will be debited to your account and charged at the standard balance rate.

  • We are unable to accept transfers from cards or loans issued by companies within the Barclays Group.
  • If you choose to close your account with other lenders, please notify them in writing.
  • You should continue to make payments to your other lenders until we have confirmed that the balance has been transferred.
  • New purchases will be charged at the standard variable rate for your Barclaycard.
  • Whilst this balance is outstanding, any payment you make to the account will be applied in reducing this balance before your standard balance. If you break the agreement we may withdraw the promotional rate and the remaining balance will revert to the standard balance rate.
