Using Credit Cards Abroad

Your Barclaycard is one of the easiest and safest ways to make purchases or access cash when you’re abroad.

For cash withdrawals, interest is charged at your cash rate from the time you withdraw your cash until you’ve paid off your balance in full. There is a fee of 2.5% (£2.50 minimum) for cash withdrawals. You will be charged a 2.75% foreign exchange fee on all purchases and cash withdrawals made outside of the UK.

Protecting you from fraud

To protect yourself from fraud it is important to let us know when and where you’re going on holiday. If a transaction looks out of the ordinary, your transaction may not be processed.
