Web Browser Security

Web browsers are the applications you use to access the Internet (eg. Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla). Generally they tick along nicely, but there's a few things to watch out for:

1. Sometimes vulnerabilities are discovered in web browsers. Manufacturers are pretty quick off the mark at releasing security patches and updates to fix them.
   
   You'll be notified of these updates - try to download them immediately.

1. From time to time, you may receive 'Order Confirmation' spam emails.

These little horrors may link to malicious websites which will try to download "key-stroke capture Trojans" - viruses that record your activities on the web and send it to fraudsters. You can imagine how dangerous this could be if you're entering security details like your password when you're banking online. So, make sure you don't open them.
