With Identity Protection Alert, it’s easier than you think to insure and protect your personal identity from the growing risk of fraud and to take action should you become a victim.

If fraudsters get hold of your personal information the lasting effect can be damage to your credit rating as well as the valuable time, effort and money required to clear your name.

We’ve teamed up with CPP to bring you Identity Protection Alert, the simplest way to insure against and help prevent identity theft and get the financial support you need should you become a victim of it.

Our Identity Protection Alert includes:

• The financial reassurance that you’ll receive up to £60,000 insurance towards the costs involved in clearing your name if you become a victim of identity fraud and your personal information is used for identity theft.
  
  
• The ability to keep track of any changes to your credit report with unlimited online access. This means you can keep an eye on loan and credit card applications that are made either by you or in your name.
  
  
• An easy way to keep an eye on your identity with email or text message Credit Alerts which are sent when there are significant changes to your credit report, providing you with an early warning of any identity fraud.
  
  
• Defense against the exposure of your personal information online and the power to take back control of your information with Online Data Patrol by Garlik. Garlik are online identity experts and as part of Identity Protection Alert they’ll scan unsecured website and illegal data trading sites and let you know which websites and public databases hold information about you.
  
  
• Cover of up to £200 for the replacement of a lost or stolen passport or driving licence.
  
  
• Access to a dedicated team of identity theft experts who will be able to help you resolve any identity theft situations which may arise

What’s not covered?

• Pre-existing cases of identity theft are excluded.
  
  
• Legal expenses must be notified to us and agreed by us before you incur costs
  
  
• Loss of earnings will not exceed £500 per week and is only available for six weeks in a row

How do I renew my policy?

At the end of your policy term, you will receive a renewal notice but your policy will be renewed automatically and your premium will be collected unless you contact CPP in advance to cancel the policy.
