How our fraud prevention service monitors your account

We’re on the look out for unusual activity on your account 24 hours a day. If we notice transactions that don’t follow your usual spending patterns, we’ll check if they’re genuine in the following way:

  1. Our Fraud Prevention Service calls you automatically
  2. You are asked to verify that you’re a Barclaycard customer
  3. A list of recent transactions is read out to you
  4. If you’re concerned that any of them may be false, let us know by choosing the relevant option on your keypad and we’ll connect you to a specialist Fraud Advisor
