Tailored to suit your business

The benefits of taking credit and debit payments are obvious. You can offer your customers a quick, convenient way to pay – and you won't miss out on a potential sale if they’re not carrying enough cash.

But why choose Barclaycard card terminals for your business? Take a look at some of the benefits below, and you’ll see how our card terminals have been designed to meet the needs of your business and your customers.

  • Our terminals are simple to set up, with all the information you need in the accompanying Quick Set up and Fast Facts guides. You’ll also have access to user guides to talk you through the process. And if you need any help, an engineer, from one of our preferred partners, will come and visit you to help you set up your terminal (there is a fee for this service)
  • We work with major suppliers, constantly monitoring the market, to create and update products and services to meet the needs of businesses like yours

Future proofed technology

  • We work hard to stay ahead of changing technology and introduce new products to meet the demands of businesses of all sizes
  • We set up and manage replacement programs to remove old and/or poorly performing products and replace with new terminals

Next-generation contactless payments

We’ve introduced a new way to pay called bPay.  It consists of a pre-paid account that links to a bPay wristband. Customers simply add money from any Visa or MasterCard® debit or credit card and use the bPay band to make fast, easy and secure contactless payments. They can pay for purchases of £30 and under wherever they see the MasterCard® and contactless symbols. Contactless payments

Your business benefits

A good reason to take contactless payments is customer demand: there was a 71% growth in this payment method from January 2013 to January 2014*. That led to a 50% increase in outlets that offer contactless to customers in the same period*.

All of our card terminals are set up to accept contactless payments so you can take advantage of this customer demand and capitalise on this opportunity.

Offer extra services to your customers, and increase your revenue

Our terminals don’t just boost your business by enabling you to take card payments. You can also offer extra revenue-generating services to your customers, like accepting foreign debit or credit cards or even offering and accepting prepaid gift cards.

Accepting foreign cards

If your business is in an area that’s popular with tourists or business travellers from abroad, Dynamic Currency Conversion allows them to pay with a card in their own currency and so you don’t have to price your products in multiple currencies.
From small online businesses to hotel chains, we will work with you to create a multi-currency solution that integrates with your own systems.

Prepaid gift cards

Create new income streams with our range of prepaid gift cards, and build your brand at the same time. With your card terminals enabled to accept gift cards, for example, your customers can give friends, family or work colleagues a gift to spend with your business.
The cards can be branded with your logo and a design of your choice. They will bring new people into your business - and statistics show that people spend more than the value of the card when they visit. You can also use prepaid cards to:

  • reward loyal customers with special discounts
  • help them save for a special event or a large purchase
  • receive refunds, so the money doesn’t leave your business
