Practical ways to keep your business credit cards secure
To help minimise the risk and inconvenience of credit card fraud, Barclaycard has developed a number of initiatives to tackle this increasing problem. For instance, when you’re making payments online, Barclaycard Secure offers additional security, with password protection for all transactions.
If you discover that your card has been used fraudulently, we also have measures in place to protect your account, minimise the disruption to your business and get you a replacement card as quickly as possible.
What to do if you suspect fraud
If you see a suspicious or unauthorised transaction on your account, report it immediately. We'll suspend your card, to prevent any further transactions, while we conduct an investigation. We do this to ensure that you never have to pay for transactions you didn't make.
If you’re a card administrator, you may also find the following advice useful:
Review statements – if spending patterns seem unusual or increase dramatically, check with the cardholder.
Notify us immediately if there are transactions you or a cardholder don't recognise.
Regularly review the number of cards your business holds, and be sure to cancel any you don't need.
Report any missing cards immediately.
