New to the Uber app?

As a new Uber user, you’ll get your first two trips free, up to £10 each. Just so you know, these will only count towards your promotional 11th ride if they’re over £10. You’ll need to enter the promotion code BARC17 under ‘Payments’ in the Uber app when you’re registering your Barclaycard. To get set up:

  1. Download the Uber app onto your smartphone for free
  2. Follow the instructions to create your account
  3. Set your Barclaycard as your payment method for all rides
  4. Remember to add the promotion code above before you start using Uber to get £10 off each of your first two trips
  5. Set your desired destination and a driver will come directly to you

Regular Uber rider?

If you’re already tapping and riding with the Uber app, just make sure your Barclaycard is set as the payment method. That’s it. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Tap the menu icon and select ‘Payment’ in your Uber app
  2. Tap ‘Add payment method’
  3. Set your Barclaycard as the payment method for all rides

No, you can use any of our existing Barclaycards for personal customers, including Hilton HHonors™ Platinum Visa®. 

You can redeem your offer on any Uber rides product (excludes uberEATS and uberTAXI). 

No, the 10 rides you accumulate can be for any amount, there’s no set minimum or maximum.

Your rides will automatically be counted on your Uber account – you can track your progress in the app – and every 11th ride on us will load automatically.

No, you can only take your free (up to the maximum value) offer rides in the UK. However, you can accumulate your 10 rides with Uber in both the UK and abroad where Uber operates.

If your Uber offer rides costs more than the limit, you’ll be charged for any amount over this in the usual way. If your Uber offer rides cost less than the limit, you can’t keep any remaining balance for a future ride. Just so you know, you can’t combine your two £10 introductory trips – they’re only for your first and second Uber trips.

For the “11th ride free, up to £15 offer”, you can use the offer as many times as you like until the promotion ends on 31 December 2017. The “first 2 rides free, up to £10” offer is limited to your first and second rides as a new Uber user.

Yes, the main cardholder and additional cardholders on the account are eligible for the offer. Each unique Uber account with a Barclaycard as the payment method is eligible for the offer.

The Uber offer is only available to personal, non-business, Barclaycard customers.

For both offers, free rides are subject to an eligible card being set as the payment method in your Uber app and to the maximum value set out in the relevant offer terms. If your ride exceeds the maximum value, the excess will be charged to your card. Any unused value can’t be rolled over. Free rides must be within the UK.

* For the “11th ride free, up to £15" offer, your Barclaycard must be set as the payment method in your Uber app for all rides. There must be a charge to the card for the ten rides prior to the promotional ride. If you’re new to Uber your first two trips will only count towards your promotional 11th ride if they’re over £10.
