Payment solutions

Missing a payment can happen to anyone, but we’re here to help you get back on track. Here you can find out how to make payments and set up account alerts, or what to do if you’re having trouble keeping up with your monthly payments.

Barclaycard online servicing

Designed to fit around you, Barclaycard online account services is free, flexible and secure. Your Online account can remind you when payments are due, provide options to make a payment and set up a direct debit to make sure you don't miss a payment in the future.

Set up a Direct Debit

You can prevent missing a payment by setting up a Direct Debit. 

To set up a Direct Debit in online servicing, log in and choose the 'Pay your bill' tab to get to the Direct Debit section.

Make a one-off payment

You can catch up with a missed payment by paying with a debit card. Log in to your online account and select ‘Make a payment’ on the home page.

Set up alerts

Let your account information come to you with our free alerts and updates.

Log in and choose 'Alerts & notifications' which you’ll find in the ‘Your details’ tab in the top menu.

No worries, in two easy steps you can register and start managing your account your way online.

You’ll need your Barclaycard and your credit limit which you'll find on your latest statement.

You can enter your card number to proceed. You'll find your long card number on the front of your Barclaycard and on your statements.

Once you're logged in you can change your security details at any time by selecting ‘Secure login details’ which you'll find under 'Your details' in the top menu.

If you've forgotten both your passcode and your memorable word, please select the 'Forgotten passcode' link on the login screen and follow the on screen instructions.

From your bank

If you are a Barclays account holder you can pay using Barclays telephone or online banking services. You can also pay using the Barclays Mobile Banking app. You must be 16 or over and have a Barclays current account to use Barclays Mobile Banking. Terms and conditions apply.

If you are a non-Barclays account holder then you can pay via your respective bank's telephone and online services.

Barclaycard app

In just a couple of taps on your mobile you can securely pay your bill whenever you like with the Barclaycard app and your debit card. It's simple, just log in using your Barclaycard app passcode
Select ‘Make a payment’ and enter the amount you wish to pay.

By calling us

You can pay over the phone by calling us on 0800 161 5213 . You'll need your Barclaycard and your debit card to hand.

If you’re having difficulties making payments

Sometimes it can be difficult to stay on top of your finances and sudden change in circumstances can leave you with less money to pay your bills. You’re not alone and we are here to help you get back on track. So, if you're struggling to meet your monthly repayments, you should let us know - the worst thing you can do is ignore the problem. When you make a payment online or over the phone you'll be advised straight away if your payment has been successful and we'll instantly provide you with a reference number/authorisation code.

If your payment is declined, we recommend you check the details you entered and try again. Also, check that your debit card has not expired or been replaced. If you are making a payment online and you have previously saved your card details, please check that your card has not expired or been replaced before you select it to make a payment.

If it has expired, or been replaced, please delete the out of date card and select ‘Use a different card’. If the payment is still declined by your debit card issuer you will need to contact them for more information.

Please note that payments are authorised straight away with your debit card issuer. This means you need to have cleared funds in your bank account when you're making the payment online.
