Why can't I use the same security details for Barclaycard online servicing and telephone banking?

We keep your security details separate for security reasons, and because our services work in different ways. Your 6-digit passcode is used for both Barclaycard online servicing and on the phone, whereas your memorable word is only ever used online, and only 2 letters are requested at any one time. We'll NEVER ask for your memorable word in full.
