Are you a Barclays customer?
If you’ve got a Barclays current account and a Barclaycard, you’ll be able to view and manage both of these in the Barclaycard app - no need to download both apps.
If you don’t have the Barclaycard app:
- Select the Wallet app on your iPhone

To get started you'll need an eligible Barclaycard Card. Sorry, at the moment you won’t be able to use Apple Pay with Barclaycard Commercial Cards, Woolwich Open Plan Gold cards or on the American Express card on a Barclaycard Cashback Account.
To register for the Barclays or Barclaycard app you must hold an account with us and have a mobile phone number.

Using Apple Pay
Whether you're buying a pint of milk, hitting the High Street or making in app purchases, using Apple Pay is quick and convenient. With Apple Pay you can make payments for any amount, but some retailers limit the spend to £100.
You can use Apple Pay anywhere that displays the Apple Pay or the symbol. Simply place your iPhone in front of the Contactless reader and use Touch ID or Face ID– hey presto, you’ll get a confirmation sent straight to your phone. And on Apple Watch, it’s a double-click on the side button and hold the display up to the Contactless reader.
On your iPhone or iPad, you can use Apple Pay to pay in apps when you see the Buy with Apple Pay button or Apple Pay logo.
Keeping your card details safe
You can rest assured that Apple Pay is a secure way to pay. Your Barclaycard card details are not stored on your device because when you pay using Apple Pay the data is encrypted. And every payment you make requires Touch ID or a passcode for added security.
What if I lose my device or it's stolen?
Here’s some steps you can take to make sure no-one makes payments from your device if it’s lost or stolen:
- Use Find My iPhone to set your device in Lost Mode or wipe it clean completely
- Log into iCloud.com and click settings to stop anyone from making payments with Apple Pay
- Call us and we’ll cancel it for you
As your Barclaycard details aren’t stored on your Apple device there’s no need to cancel your credit card.
What you'll need to use Apple Pay
To use Apple Pay you need an eligible device and the latest version of iOS, watchOS or macOS.
