What if my contactless payment is declined?

There are a number of possible reasons for your payment not going through. These might relate to your Barclaycard or a terminal not working correctly. If you continue to have problems using your Barclaycard, you can contact our Customer Services Team.

Alternatively it could be that you have exceeded your credit limit - check your balance in Barclaycard online servicing. Once logged in you can also set up alerts to help you manage your account. You can set up alerts by logging into your Barclaycard online account and selecting 'Alerts and notifications' which you will find under 'Your details' in the top menu.
