Sometimes we'll ask you to confirm it's you when you're shopping online, or using some online services.
If we have your up-to-date mobile phone number you may be given the choice to confirm it's you using a one-time verification code that we can text to you.
To protect your account we can only send the code to a mobile phone number we hold for you and the code is only valid once. Never give anyone else your code.
What do to if your mobile phone number is not up to date:
You won't be able to confirm it's you using our text message service.
If you're trying to log in, you may be able to use the card security code (CVV) off the back of your Barclaycard instead. If you're unable to do this, then you will need to call us to update your number and our team will also be able to help you with your query.
If you're trying to reset your details you'll need to call us to do this.
If you're shopping online you'll need to choose a different way to confirm it's you. You may be able to select PINsentry or if you're registered for the app you can confirm it's you with just a few taps.
When you update your mobile phone number for security reasons it can take up to a week before you'll be able to use it to confirm it's you.
