Why have I received an email or text saying I'm nearing my credit limit?

To help you avoid going over your credit limit and incurring a fee, we’re sending a new alert by email or text to customers when they get close to their credit limit.

You’ve received the email or text because you’ve hit the point where these alerts are triggered. You’ll only get this message once during any statement month.

We've set the point when this message is sent based on your credit limit, and it can’t be moved. We hope you find this message helpful, but if you want to change how you get it, or if you don’t want to get it at all, please let us know by using the ‘chat’ feature in the Barclaycard app to raise a query.
